Kim Couch, Ed.D., LPC Hi there! My name is Kim Couch, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I bring more 30 years as an educator to the counseling profession and I have been helping people as a counselor since 2020. As a teacher, I was a special educator that worked with young people who faced many challenges, and struggled with trauma of all kinds. Today, I continue to help individuals work through life's challenging moments. I am passionate about helping people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma find their path. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to. I work with my clients to identify areas in their life they want to change. I support them through the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Choice Theory, EMDR, and Person Centered Therapy. I ensure my clients feel safe and respected as they work through various issues in order to make the changes they feel are needed to meet their personal goals. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples. I have a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University/ a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Wesleyan College/ a Master’s Degree in Behavior Disorders from Georgia College and State University/ and a Doctorate in Child, Youth and Family Studies from Nova Southeastern University. I am a strong Christian who cares about her clients and wants to help each one succeed in meeting their personal goals; as well as feeling valued as an individual.
